In 2020, TSU created conditions for delivering classes in the format of distance learning or hybrid learning. The teachers of the university can use specially equipped auditoriums or take the equipment home, when necessary.
Aktru Hybrid Learning Auditorium
These are large flow auditoriums equipped with high-resolution video cams, microphones, Internet and computer equipment — everything necessary for high-quality broadcasting of a lecture delivered in a hybrid format (when some listeners are present in the auditorium, and the others study remotely). Lectures in such auditoriums are recorded and uploaded to the cloud storage, from where they can be retrieved into an electronic educational course in Moodle, adding the Aktru Video element after the lecture.
Self-recording auditoriums
These are small auditoriums equipped with a webcam on a tripod, a flip chart, a document cam, a graphic tablet, a microphone and a notebook, i.e. everything necessary to deliver distance lectures or self-record video lectures. Video clips recorded in these auditoriums are formed into a video file that can be uploaded into the Aktru (or any other) cloud storage and posted in an electronic educational course in Moodle.
Studios of the Institute of Distance Education
The Institute of Distance Education has 3 professional studios for video recording of educational content: two Jalinga multimedia studios and one classic studio — there TSU teachers can record videos for online courses or electronic educational courses in Moodle.
Equipment for at-home use
When it is necessary to deliver lectures from home and there is no equipment required for it, the teachers can contact the Assistant Dean for e-Learning of their training unit with a corresponding request.
List of equipment available for taking home*:
- Notebook
- Headset
- Web cam
*Specification on the corresponding available equipment can be obtained from the Assistant Dean for e-Learning of the respective training unit.
