This course was developed by Tatiana Pospelova, Head of the Department of the International Triple Helix Association in Russia, together with Elena Vaganova, consultant of the Department of Support and Coordination of Work on International Scientific Projects of the Department of State Scientific and Scientific-Technical Policy in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

MOOC is aimed at studying the mechanisms of interaction and the basics of the "Triple Helix" concept. It consists of 7 modules: 5 main and 2 additional. The main modules help to understand the essence of the Triple Helix concept and study the mechanisms for the interaction of science, business and the state. Two additional modules are aimed at working on a research project in which students step by step analyze the innovative potential of their working environment - university, company, city or region.
– The highlight of our course is a research project (when, as the course progresses, the student analyzes the innovative potential of his university, the company where he works or the region). As a result, each student has ready-made materials for the chapter of the diploma or for a scientific publication.
